When was the last gathering you felt was especially enjoyable because you were together? What elements do you think are necessary for good fellowship?

2. 성자 예수님과 성부 하나님의 영원한 사랑의 교제가 성도 간의 사랑의 기초라는 것은 무엇을 의미합니까(1-2절)? 하나님과 가까워질수록 성도 간에도 가까워지는 ‘사랑의 삼각형’ 원리를 생각해 볼 때, 최근 나의 하나님과의 관계는 지체들과의 관계에 어떤 영향을 주고 있습니까?
What does it mean that the eternal fellowship of love between God the Father and Jesus the Son is the foundation of love among believers (vv. 1-2)? Considering the principle of ‘the triangle of love’—that the closer we grow to God, the closer we grow to one another—how has your relationship with God affected your relationships with others in the church?

3. 참된 교제는 단순히 식사를 같이 하거나 관심사를 공유하는 것을 넘어 복음의 진리에 근거해야 합니다(3절). 이것이 왜 중요다고 생각합니까? 우리의 만남과 대화 속에서 복음이 중심 되게 하려면 어떤 노력이 필요하겠습니까?
True fellowship must be grounded in the truth of the gospel, going beyond simply sharing meals or common interests (v. 3). Why do you think this is important? What efforts are needed to ensure the gospel remains central in our gatherings and conversations?

4. 요한이 말하는 “우리의 기쁨”(4절)과 세상에서 말하는 기쁨은 어떻게 다릅니까? 세상이 주는 일시적인 즐거움과 공동체 안에서 주님과 함께 누리는 충만한 기쁨의 차이를 경험해 본 적이 있다면 나누어봅시다. 찰스 시므온이 남긴 말처럼 ‘모든 일 속에서 하나님을 누리고, 하나님 안에서 모든 것을 누리는’ 삶을 위해 우리가 기도하고 실천할 수 있는 것은 무엇입니까?
How does “our joy” that John speaks of in verse 4 differ from the joy the world offers? If you have experienced the difference between the fleeting pleasures of the world and the fullness of joy found in sharing life with the Lord in the church, please share with others. As Charles Simeon once said, ‘to enjoy God in everything, and to enjoy everything in God,’ what can we pray for and practice in order to live this kind of life?
