What is one thing your parents told you when you were growing up that you still remember today? How did those words influence your life?

How would you define the difference between ‘obeying’ and ‘honoring’ your parents? What does that actually look like in a parent-child relationship? What are the responsibilities and roles of parents to achieve this?

Compare and explain the negative command, “do not provoke…to anger,” and the positive command, “bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” As the primary disciple-makers of their children, what should parents put into practice first?
