1. 지금까지 교회에서 참여했던 봉사 중 가장 기억에 남는 활동은 무엇이며, 그렇게 느낀 이유는 무엇입니까?
What has been the most memorable ministry you have participated in at church so far, and why was it particularly meaningful to you?
2. 제사장들과 레위인들은 성전 내부의 직무뿐만 아니라 성벽 공사에도 함께 참여했습니다. 혹시 그동안 사역이나 일의 가치를 두고 중요하거나 그렇지 않다고 나누어 생각했던 부분은 없습니까? 내가 맡은 일을 주님을 위해 감당한다고 할 때, 우리의 태도와 방식에는 어떤 변화가 생기겠습니까?
The priests and Levites participated not only in their duties within the temple but also in rebuilding the walls. Have there been areas of ministry that you have viewed as more important or less important? If we approach whatever we are doing as serving the Lord, how would that change our attitude and the way we serve?
3. 느헤미야는 성벽 재건이 모든 이에게 “나의 일”로 다가가도록 도왔습니다. 공동체의 필요를 볼 때 나는 “누군가 하겠지”라고 생각하는 편입니까, 아니면 “내가 무엇을 할 수 있을까”를 먼저 고민하는 편입니까? 지금 내 삶에서 특별히 관심과 정성을 기울여 세워가야 할 영역은 무엇인지 나누어 봅시다.
Nehemiah helped everyone see the rebuilding of the wall as “my work.” When you see a need, do you tend to think, “Someone else will take care of it,” or do you first ask, “What can I do?” What is an area in your life right now that you need to give special attention to help build it up?
4. 금장색, 향품 장사, 상인, 지역 관리 등 다양한 이들이 성벽 공사에 함께 참여한 사실은 우리에게 어떤 메시지를 줍니까? 아울러 “양문”과 “분문”의 의미를 비교해 보고, 교회를 위해 꼭 필요하지만 “분문”처럼 잘 드러나지 않거나 묵묵히 감당해야 하는 섬김에는 어떤 것들이 있는지 나누어 봅시다.
What is the message that goldsmiths, perfumers, merchants, local officials, and people from various backgrounds all participated in rebuilding the wall? Also, compare the significance of “the Sheep Gate” and “the Dung Gate.” What are some forms of service that are essential to the church but, like “the Dung Gate,” may receive little recognition or require us to quietly do what needs to be done?
5. 느헤미야는 다른 사람들보다 더욱 힘써 수고한 이들을 특별히 기록하여 기억했습니다. 현재 나의 신앙생활에서 “이만하면 충분하다”고 안주하고 있는 부분이 있습니까? 주님과 교회를 위해 한 걸음 더(the extra mile) 나아가기 위해 오늘 나에게 필요한 구체적인 실천은 무엇입니까?
Nehemiah specifically recorded and remembered those who worked especially hard and went beyond what was required of them. Is there an area of your spiritual life where you have become comfortable thinking, “I’ve done enough”? What specific step can you take today to go the extra mile for the Lord and his church?

1. 평소에 고민이나 상황이 생기면 먼저 기도하는 편입니까, 아니면 행동으로 옮기는 편입니까? 둘 중 무엇이 선행되어야 한다고 생각합니까?
When you face concerns or situations, do you usually pray first or act first? Which do you think should come first?
2. 느헤미야는 하나님의 긍휼과 용서와 회복을 구하며 수개월간 인내하며 기도했습니다. 현재 내가 끈기 있게 간구하며 기다려야 할 기도 제목은 무엇입니까? 낙심하지 않고 기도를 이어가기 위한 구체적인 실천 방안은 무엇이 있겠습니까?
Nehemiah patiently prayed for months, seeking God’s mercy, forgiveness, and restoration. What is the prayer request that you currently need to patiently ask for and wait upon? What are some concrete action plans to continue praying without giving up?
3. 느헤미야는 기도하는 동안 하나님께서 주실 기회를 위해 구체적인 계획과 준비를 병행했습니다. 하나님께 쓰임받는 사람으로 준비되기 위해, 지금 기도하며 구체적으로 준비해야 할 영역은 무엇입니까?
While praying, Nehemiah also made specific plans and preparations for the opportunity God would grant. To be prepared as a person used by God, what area do you need to pray about and specifically prepare for right now?
4. 느헤미야는 현장을 직접 살피고 앞장서서 사람들을 주의 일에 동참하도록 독려했습니다. 말에 그치지 않고 공동체(교회와 오이코스)를 위해 내가 먼저 솔선수범하여 내딛어야 할 첫걸음은 무엇입니까?
Nehemiah personally inspected the site and took the lead in encouraging people to join in the Lord’s work. What is the first step you need to take initiative on, beyond just words, for your church and oikos community?

1. 세상은 바다와 같고 인생은 항해와 같다는 비유에 공감합니까? 지금 나의 삶은 잔잔한 편입니까, 아니면 풍랑이 일고 있습니까?
Do you relate to the analogy that the world is like a sea and life is like a voyage? Is your life relatively calm right now, or are you going through a storm?
2. 제자들이 풍랑 속에 노를 젓고 있을 때 예수님은 어디에서 무엇을 하고 계셨습니까? 고난의 시간에 예수님이 멀리 계신 것 같다고 느낀 적이 있습니까? 그때 믿음을 지키기 위해 무엇을 할 수 있습니까?
While the disciples were rowing their boat through the storm, where was Jesus and what was he doing? Have you ever felt that Jesus was far away during times of trial? What can we do to keep our faith during those moments?

Why were the disciples afraid when they saw Jesus coming toward them? How did their fear turn into joy? What is making you fearful these days? What Scripture passages can we share to encourage one another as we face those fears?

What happened after the disciples welcomed Jesus into the boat? Why do you think John recorded this outcome? Do you believe that when Jesus is with us, he will guide us safely to the destination he has ordained? How does this faith shape our attitude toward life and death?

1. 마치 “굴”이나 “옥”에 갇힌 것처럼 답답하거나 막막했던 경험이 있습니까? 그때 가장 힘이 되었던 것은 무엇이었는지 나눠 봅시다.
Have you ever felt frustrated or helpless, as if you were trapped in a “cave” or a “prison”? What gave you strength or encouragement during that time?
2. 다윗은 굴이라는 고립된 공간에서도 하나님이 ‘거기 계심’을 믿고 부르짖으며 기도했습니다(1-2절). 나는 하나님이 지금 여기에 나와 함께 계신다는 것을 믿습니까? 그렇게 믿을 때 나의 기도는 어떻게 달라질 수 있습니까?
Even in the isolated space of a cave, David cried out, believing that God was there (vv. 1–2). Do you believe that God is with you right where you are? If so, how would that change the way you pray?
3. 다윗은 그의 길을 아시는 전지하신 하나님께 부르짖으며 기도했습니다(3-5절). 하나님이 이미 다 알고 계신다는 사실이 위로가 되었던 경험이 있다면 나눠 봅시다. 하나님이 모든 것을 아신다면 왜 계속 기도해야 합니까?
David cried out to the all-knowing God who knew his way (vv. 3–5). Can you share a time when it was comforting to know that God already knows everything? If God knows all things, why should we continue to pray?
4. 다윗은 그를 핍박하는 원수들보다 강하신 전능하신 하나님께 부르짖으며 기도했습니다(6-7절). 7절의 “의인들이 나를 두르리이다”는 고백에는 어떤 소망이 담겨 있습니까? “구원을 베푸실 전능자”(습 3:17)이신 하나님께 서로를 위해 어떻게 기도하면 좋겠습니까?
David cried out to the almighty God, who is stronger than the enemies persecuting him (vv. 6–7). What hope is expressed in his confession, “The righteous will surround me” (v. 7)? How can we pray for one another to God, who is the “mighty one who will save” (Zeph 3:17)?
