Can you think of a time when you finished something well? How did it feel? Why was that moment special to you?

In verses 13-15, the Israelites obeyed both God’s command and the king’s decree. Why do you think that was important? What makes it hard for you to obey God sometimes? How can you overcome those obstacles?

The people didn’t have as much to offer as Solomon did, but they still worshiped with joy (Ezra 6:16-18; 2 Chron 7:5). Why do you think they could do that? Share a time when you gave thanks to God even when things didn’t turn out as you wished. What are five things you can thank God for today?
