why?

제1예배실의 레노베이션을 통해 우리가 기대하는 것은 은혜가 임하는 예배 안에서 복음을 좀 더 창의적으로 표현하는 것을 목적으로 합니다. 새로운 예배에서 사용하는 미디어 기술은 예배자가 하나님을 더 깊이 경험하도록 초대하고 예배를 경험하도록 하는 것입니다.

우리는 감동을 주거나 회중을 압도하기 위해 미디어 기술을 사용하는 것이 아니라 성도들을 더 거룩한 예배자로 세우기 위해 효과적으로 미디어를 사용하고자 합니다.

또한, 미래를 내다보며 공간을 개선함으로써 다음 세대를 향한 신앙의 전수가 아름답게 이어지는 것 또한 이번 레노베이션의 큰 목적 중 하나입니다.

Our goal in renovating the Main Sanctuary is to creatively express the gospel through grace-filled worship. The media technology in our new services aims to create a more immersive worship experience, inviting all worshipers to experience God in novel ways. Our use of media technology is not to impress or overwhelm, but to engage people more effectively in deeper levels of holy worship. A major goal of this renovation is to future-proof our space, beautifully passing our faith on to the next generation.

how?

본당의 무대를 One Stage(악기 팀 자리에서 찬양대 자리까지 같은 레벨로 디자인 됩니다)로 새롭게 디자인하고 음향, 조명, 영상 장비와 통합 시스템을 요즘 시대에 맞게 업그레이드할 예정이며, 본당 카펫과 의자를 교체(2006년 2월 12일에 입당을 하고 나서 사용한 의자와 카펫입니다)하고 의자의 방향을 강단 중심으로 재설정하려고 합니다. 이번 본당 레노베이션 미디어 업그레이드의 큰 비중은 본당 전면에 LED 스크린(48’ X 16’)이 설치되고, 양옆으로 두 개의 배너 LED가 들어오게 됩니다.

1층 중앙 뒷자리에 음향과 조명 부스가 들어서고 2층의 현재 방송실 발코니는 일반좌석으로 바뀌게 되며, 현재의 방송실은 2층의 포도원 쪽 방으로 옮기게 됩니다 (현재의 포도원은 3월 중으로 새롭게 레노베이션 하는 지하 교육부 장소로 이전하게 됩니다). 또한 무대로 들어오는 문이 만들어지고 전실(Back Stage)의 공간을 통해 자연스럽게 강단으로 진입할 수 있게 됩니다. 본당 뒤쪽에 예배 중 긴급상황에 조용히 들어오고 나갈 수 있는 문이 후방 양쪽으로 각각 하나씩 생기게 됩니다.

The stage in the main sanctuary will be redesigned into a single stage where the instrumental team section and the choir section will be on the same level. We are upgrading the sound, lighting, and video equipment, along with the integrated systems, to modern standards. This upgrade also includes replacing the carpet and pews in the main sanctuary, which have been in use since we moved into this building in 2001, and reorienting the pews to better focus on the pulpit.

A significant feature of the media upgrade is the installation of a large LED screen (48' X 16') at the front of the main sanctuary, complemented by two banner LEDs on either side.

Additionally, a sound and lighting booth will be constructed at the center back of the first floor. The current media booth at the balcony on the second floor will be converted into a regular seating area, and the media booth will be relocated to the Fruitful Vineyard Ministry (FVM) room on the second floor. (The current FVM will move to the newly renovated basement for the Education Department in March.) A new door will be added to the stage, creating easy access to the pulpit through the backstage area. To facilitate quiet entry and exit during services, especially in emergencies, two doors will be installed at the back of the nave, one on each side.

why?

친교실과 로비를 새롭게 디자인 하는 이유는 모든 성도들과 교회를 방문하는 이에게 더욱 친근하고 편안한 공간을 제공하기 위함입니다. 특별히, 처음 교회에 처음 오시는 분들은 낯선 공간에 대한 불편함과 두려움을 느낄 수 있을 것입니다.

이번 로비와 친교실 레노베이션에 대한 비전은 메인 로비를 새롭게 디자인하여 밝고 따뜻한 첫인상을 통해 교회에 오시는 분들이 자연스럽게 열린문교회의 표어 중 하나인 은혜가 머무는 가족공동체(오이코스)의 관계로까지 이어질 수 있도록 하는 것입니다.

더 나아가 열린문에 찾아오는 모든 분들이 편안함과 따뜻한 분위기에서 공동체와 함께 은혜를 누리며 예수님과 동행하는 다음 단계로 나아가는 공간을 제공하는 것입니다.

The redesign of the fellowship hall and lobby is driven by our commitment to offer a welcoming and comfortable environment for all church members and visitors, particularly for those new to our church and who might feel uneasy in unfamiliar surroundings. Our vision for this renovation is to transform the main lobby into a space that radiates warmth and brightness, fostering immediate connections with our grace-filled community group ('Oikos'), which is a core principle of ODPC. Additionally, our aim is to create a setting where everyone at ODPC can enjoy grace in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, encouraging deeper spiritual journeys with Jesus.

how?

로비는 새로운 바닥재와 더 밝고 편안한 분위기의 공간을 추구하는 디자인으로 개선됩니다. 환영 부스를 새로운 위치로 옮기고 디자인하여 교회를 찾는 분들에게 보이는 것 자체로 따뜻한 환영의 메시지를 주고자 합니다.

로비와 친교실은 은혜가 머무는 공간의 컨셉으로 디자인될 것이며, 현재 친교실 공간의 창문 쪽의 일부 공간과 로비 입구의 한쪽 공간이 합쳐져서 카페형식의 라운지 공간이 만들어 지게 됩니다.

이 카페형식의 라운지에 앉아 서로 이야기하면서 차와 커피를 마시며 친교할 수 있는 멋진 공간이 될 것입니다. 또한 예배실을 나와 정면에 보이는 친교실 입구 쪽을 유리문과 벽으로 개조하여 시각적으로 훨씬 넓고 밝은 느낌을 주는 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것입니다.

The lobby will be also renovated with new flooring and a designed layout to create a brighter and cozier atmosphere. The welcome booth will be relocated and redesigned to offer visitors a warm greeting from their first moment at ODPC.

Both the lobby and fellowship hall will be designed to embody the concept of a space where grace abides. A section of the current windowed area in the fellowship hall will merge with one side of the lobby entrance to form a café-style lounge. This lounge will provide an ideal setting for sitting, chatting, and enjoying fellowship over tea and coffee. Additionally, the front entrance to the fellowship hall from the main sanctuary will be renovated with glass doors and walls, visually enhancing the space to appear larger and brighter.

우리 열린문 공동체는 이번 레노베이션을 통해 세상을 향한 축복의 통로로서 열린문교회가 나아가야 할 방향을 계속해서 고민할 것입니다.

은혜가 세상으로 흘러가는 역할로써 이번 레노베이션 프로젝트가 준비되기를 바라고, 온 성도님들의 하나 된 기도를 부탁드립니다.

Through this renovation, our Open Door community will further solidify our path as a blessing to the world. We hope that this renovation project will prepare us to fulfill our role as a channel of grace to the world. In this endeavor, we seek the united prayers of all our members.

1) 은혜가 임하는 예배공간을 새롭게 함으로 더욱 하나님 앞에 거룩한 예배자로 열린문 공동체가 준비되게 하소서.
May the renewal of the grace-filled worship space prepare the Open Door community to become holy worshipers before God.

2) 은혜가 머무는 Theme으로 새롭게 변화되는 로비와 친교실 레노베이션이 은혜안에 성도들 안에서 관계가 더욱 깊어지고 열린문교회에 방문하는 모든 이들이 기쁨의 교제와 친교를 통해 궁극적으로 예수님께로 나아가는 시간이 되게 하소서.
May the renovation of the lobby and fellowship hall as spaces of abiding grace deepen relationships among our church members and provide times of joyful fellowship for all who visit our church, ultimately leading them to Jesus.

3) 모든 Renovation의 과정들 속에서 세상을 향한 하나님의 마음과 관심을 기억하게 하소서.
